Graves
Putrid, forlorn philanthropy
Under a broken dream,
A fatal disease so coronary
Stifles a frozen scream.
An unpretentious cathartic
With tears in his eye
Conjures a vision par heretic
Across a purging sky.
No cerise cenotaph,
Or holistic fame;
But a dreary brazen epitaph,
Exuding perfunctory shame.
Avarice in asperity
Consumes a helpless prey,
A beauty lost to eternity
An innocence faded grey...
